I was supposed to be Tina Fey (see blog post Tina Torture) but alas, my life took a different direction. While she writes comedic material for a living, I currently write about heart disease, cancer and other fun medical topics. In my spare time (I have two kids under the age 4, so I use the word spare sparingly), I write other stuff. I have an MFA in creative writing from Lesley University and I've published essays and memoir in lit magazines such as the Gettysburg Review, the Baltimore Review, and Literary Mama. I've also actually been paid for some essays by the Boston Globe, and had a notable mention for an essay in the Best American Essays 2007. I'm hoping my blog will get me Tina's job.
